Salon FAQ’s

1.    Can I book an appointment online?

Yes! Fill out our online booking form, https://pommesalon.ca/appointments or send us an email at [email protected]

2.    Why do you require a $75 deposit for first-time clients?

Your time is important to us! To ensure every guest has the same opportunity for #Pommeshell hair we ask for a $75 deposit for all first-time clients! This deposit will be directly applied to your service on the day it is performed. The deposit will be happily refunded to the guest if the appointment is cancelled 48 hours or more before the scheduled visit. If the service is cancelled within 48 hours of the service it will be refunded at the discretion of management.

Thank you for your support and we are so happy to have you as part of our #PommeShell community!

3.    What do the different levels of stylist mean?

We have a range of stylists and levels at Pomme Salon to meet the needs of a wide range of clients! If you are on a budget or looking to support a fresh new stylist, we recommend booking with a new talent or Junior stylist. These stylists have trained under senior management for a minimum of three months post-graduating school, and have participated in extensive continued education. You can expect your appointment times to be longer (give them a break they are new!) but you will still receive the same great Pomme Salon service you would expect! A Senior or Master stylist at Pomme has been with the company for a minimum of two years and completed extensive training both in the salon and in the field. You can expect top service, expert advice and a cut and colour you are thrilled with. Pricing varies depending on the stylist and we welcome free consultations!

4.    Why don’t you give quotes over the phone?

Each person has different needs and we don’t expect you to know what exactly needs to be done to your hair! What a client may consider ‘roots’ may involve an entire head of highlights touch-up.  We do not want to under or over-quote and the best thing to do is to come for a free consultation if you are looking for a detailed cost breakdown, which we will be happy to give you!

6.    Where do I Park!?

We have plenty of parking at Pomme Salon!

7. Why is there an eco fee on my bill?

We charge a small eco fee on every purchase at Pomme Salon in support of our recycling program; Green Circle! We are a proud partner of Green Circle Salons and together we recycled over 1.1 million pounds of salon waste last year! With Green Circle Salon support, we can recycle over 90% of salon waste, including foil, plastic, all colour tubes, aerosol bottles, and even hair! For more information on the initiative visit https://greencirclesalons.com

8.  What is SmartBond?

Have you heard of Ola Plex!?  Well, it’s similar to that. Smartbond is a bonding agent that we put into all of our lighteners to reduce the amount of damage that occurs inside the hair during the lightening process. It helps to reinforce the inside of the hair and keep it stronger and healthier! Smartbond is exclusive to L’Oréal Professionnel products and we include it in the price of all of our lightening services to ensure the highest quality service to our Pommeshells!

OUR PRODUCTS

1. Does L’Oréal test on animals?

We are happy to confirm that the L’Oréal group of companies, which includes Lancôme, Redken, Garnier, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Biotherm, Kérastase, Pureology, Shu Uemura, and Vichy, as well as L’Oréal, has carried out no animal testing since 1989 on the entire range of its products. This decision was undertaken within the framework of our fundamental objectives: to offer innovative products of high quality while ensuring their safety in use by our customers. For information about the significant efforts deployed by our laboratories over 25 years to develop alternative methods to animal testing, as well as our very important achievements in this field, please consult our website at https://www.loreal.ca.

2. Do you have any Natural products?

We are happy to have a different range within our lines that are almost 100% natural! If a product is 100% natural it would become mouldy very quickly, and you would not see the performance of the natural products work! Each of our natural lines contains a maximum of 20% non-natural products (but that doesn’t mean they are bad for you!). The products within our natural ranges that are considered ‘non-natural’ are simply preserving the natural ingredients so you can keep them on your shelf. They are also activating the natural ingredients so they can properly absorb into the hair and work their magic! The L’Oréal Professionnel: Source line uses coconut oil as its lathering agent and has shampoo and conditioners up to 99% all-natural!

4. What products do you carry in the salon?
