Over time, the buildup stiffens the hair, weakens the cuticle, and makes even healthy strands feel dry, brittle, and more prone to breakage. If your hair is already compromised by colouring, heat damage, or chemical treatments, calcium buildup can cause even more damage to the hair fibre.

The Kérastase Première Pre-Shampoo Treatment is a clarifying pre-treatment that targets this problem. It decalcifies the hair fibre from the inside out, removing buildup that traditional shampoos can't touch. The pre-shampoo clears the way for active ingredients to penetrate deeper, restoring softness, shine, and strength. Removing all of this will set the stage for the rest of your Kérastase Première routine to work more effectively!

How to Use

• Step 1: Apply a generous amount of product on your wet lengths before shampooing, and massage from root to tip. Once massaged through the hair, use the Pomme-Pro Tip and brush the product with the Pomme Brush from your roots to your tips!
• Step 2: Leave it on for 5 minutes! No rinsing!
• Step 3: Layer Prèmiere Shampoo directly on top for best results and massage into your scalp, lengths and ends!
• Step 4: Rinse thoroughly and pick your second favourite shampoo for your second wash!

  • Best for: Very damaged, over-processed, or bleached hair, especially with hard-water buildup. All hair types.
